Yesterday I went to go see Shrek with my children, Hula Niece and Nephew and my mom. I tell you what I nearly had to give The Thrust followed by CPR to a nurse! (my mother) She kept laughing right after putting popcorn or soda in her mouth. More than once nearly asperated. GHADS!
My official review…
While I enjoyed Shrek 1 very much Shrek 2 is a contender! It was just as good if not better than the first one.
The story plot starts with the honeymoon of Shrek and Fiona. They are starting their happily ever after. An announcement comes from her parents that her marriage ball would follow. They take the long journey to her town of Happily Ever After! There is where the story takes a feline turn. (with bad kitty habits)
Even though the first movie was not designed to have a sequel they made the continuing story in the same Shrek rocking style. Shrek is still his ill tempered, flatulant, and good natured self. (although his transformation is pheonominal) Fiona is still her strong, belchy, matrix like self. (with a twist)
Between Prince Charming that’s a mama’s boy and a “fairy godmother” that would give Al Capone shivers it makes for an easy hour and 40 minutes. (even Hula Boy sat through it)
Granted their is some humor that the kids don’t get and quite a bit of kissing, it’s all in good fun. Potty humor runs rampid. Shrek is a fun time for the family!
On a scale of 1 - 5 Shrek in my book rates a 5
